The successful candidate will play a significant role in the biocompatible packaging of an implantable wireless neural system device. The specific tasks will involve:
* Investigating and developing reliable biocompatible coating materials and methods as well as processing for 3-D complex neural probe array.
* Developing encapsulation method and materials for integrated wireless module.
* Studying the fundamental of the interface reaction between polymer materials and tissues as well as various substrates.
* Conducting biocompatibility and reliability study of the neural system package.
Requirements:
* PhD degree in Material science, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering or other relevant fields, preferably with experience in biocompatible polymer materials study and/or bioMEMS device packaging.
* Familiarity with wafer processing (i.e. lithography, deposition, dry etching, etc.).
* An enthusiastic, creative and ambitious team player with excellent oral and written communications skills.
